Away from Everyday is a two bedroom one bathroom lake front cottage
that sleeps 6 and is located on the South shore of Douglas
Lake on the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg side. It is
one of the closest lakefront homes to the action packed Great
Smoky Mountain area. Located on Flat Creek section of the
lake, it is very close to Mountain Cove Marina and Douglas Dam
by water. By land, it is very close to Gator Point Marina.
This is our most affordable 2 bedroom.
It enjoys beautiful mountain and lake views. A large rear deck
entices you to relax and enjoy the lovely sunsets. After dark,
cozy around the deck fire pit. Inside you will enjoy a quaint
eat-in kitchen reminiscent of your grandmother's complete with
a hosier cabinet and enamel table. As you relax at the table
with your morning coffee you will be invited to wonder at the
beauty of the sunrise over MT. Le Conte and the Great Smoky
Mountains in the distance.
The charming living room has a electric fire place to add
romance to your cooler evenings and a flat screen TV with
surround sound and a DVD player. You will also find a
collection of DVD's and a selection of family board games. A
telescope invites you to explore the night sky. The first
floor bedroom with its lake theme decor includes a king size
bed a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Upstairs you will find
a loft style living space which includes a queen size bed, a
daybed which can convert to 2 twin beds or one king size bed.
It also includes a TV, DVD player and a play station. It is a
great area for the kids to spend time and leave you to enjoy
the beauty that surrounds Simpler Times. The bathroom is on
the main level and is equipped with a shower and a bathtub.
The laundry room adjoins the kitchen.
While Away from Everyday is a warm and inviting cottage, you have
come to the lake to ENJOY the lake and you will have no
trouble doing just that. Away from Everyday sits on just under a
acre of land and has 250 feet of lakefront. It provides you
with its own dock and quiet cove to swim in. If fishing is
your relaxation then you have come to the right lake as
Douglas Lake is a world famous fishing lake holding many
fishing tournaments during the year. You can launch your boat
from Away from Everyday (when lake is up) or from Gator Point
Marina (at no cost to you) and tie to the private dock. Come
to Away from Everyday so you can enjoy peaceful nights and
fun-filled days with your family either on the lake or at all
the attractions that are nearby. This home is a pet friendly
unit. It is also located on the same street as Lakeside Point if your
party requires up to 5 bedrooms. Away from Everyday, just what you
need!
